Universes of Imagination™ - Adventures

We have played each Thursday, if only for a few hours. And in the last three weeks the Sea Princes Island has been left behind and the Sea Wyvern is finally through the straits between the Arm of God and Izonda. There was a brief encounter with an aboleth and a couple of kopru that almost ended badly as one of those rescued from the shadow pearl, Verum, became dominated.

And then Marcus almost opened his mouth when the Arm of God came calling as the ship sailed through the straits. Fortunately, he kept his mouth shut long enough for the warships to leave.

So now the ship is docked at Seawharf on Low Isle. The party have scattered through the town to find out information about the Temple of Sorrow. The temple is somewhere on the other side of the island and, according to the demon, Kel, is the entrance to the Abyss closest to the Keep of Sorrow.

The 'Keep of Sorrow'? An ancient keep built by Orcus many millennia ago, the Keep became the Abyssal headquarters of the Knights of Celestial Vengeance. This militant order of demon killers transformed the keep into a refuge of holiness. Unfortunately, the knights forgot to ensure a secure supply line and were destroyed in a four year siege by an army of Orcus'. Since then, the keep has been an out-of-the-way repository for items and individuals Orcus wants hidden away.

Kel has told them they will have just five days to get through the temple, onto the Abyss and to the Keep before Orcus can marshal his army to prevent access to the keep. It is seven days of tough overland travel through swamp after swamp from Seawharf to the Temple. And there is an hurricane coming that should arrive just a day from now!

How will the party get there in time? And will Teres and Regal join them? (For now, those two are hundreds of miles to the south checking out the treasure hunt of a Blood Cultist band with Crimson Fleet support. What are they digging for? Can Regal and Teres defeat them on their own?)

Lot's of questions for next week! And then its the Temple and then the Abyss…
